McCain Campaign: “Real Virginia” Is “Southern In Nature”

There is no level of desperation to which the flailing McCain campaign will not stoop. It is now their official position that the suburbs of our nation’s capitol, home to millions of Americans, are not “real” because they aren’t “Southern in nature.”

Here’s McCain spokesman Nancy Pfotenhauer making the campaign’s views clear on MSNBC earlier this morning.

I agree that McCain is not a good candidate for the Presidency, but out of our selection he is the best. And I agree completely about the "Southern In Nature" comment. The Southern states (Southern People) is what made this country. You are no doubt a rich prep that grew up (if you ever did grow up) with a silver spoon in your mouth. If you don't like this Country Get Out! Save us the grief.

Translation: John McCain needs and wants every redneck in the state of Virginia to pour out of their homes on election day and vote for him. It's his only chance of carrying the state. Let there be no mistake--on either statement above.
