47 Second Flip Flop
Posted on February 4th, 2007 by jessehaff -

John McCain flip flops on a timeline for pulling troops out of Iraq in just 47 seconds. Believe it or not, that’s not even his record.

Why vote for anyone other than McCain when he's going to win anyways?! He is just another dejavu like Bush who had a couple good friends in power (in bush's case family) Who WILL cheat them in one way or another to be president. This is not conspiracy, you "WILL" see. And there's nothing "YOU" can do! McCain will get the same treatment as Bush did once he becomes president. Start stocking up the eggs!

    • v
I WILL NOT BE VOTING FOR A PERSON WHO LIES LIKE THIS GUY. MAN HE'S SO FOOL OF B.S. SCREW THAT OBAMA ALL THE WAY...FUDGE THIS GUY!

John McCain is the real deal. He has support from the middle, the independents. No one has ever won with just support from the far left or the far right. John will get the conservatives sooner or later because they won't vote for a extreme liberal like Obama/Hillary. The middle and Indep will go to McCain... Obama will go down as nothing more than a great speaker...

McCain doesn't know front from back. He's just shooting out "conservative" words that he hopes will get him elected. Hasn't this country learned a lesson from these Republicans!!! They could not care less about the middle class or poor!

    • v
Give them hell John!! The debt building, earmark cowards are scared to death of Mr. McCain. Look out special interest! I love seeing all the Hollywood elite, only able to donate $2300 each, instead of the $100,000's!! The lobbyist is Washington know that John is going to be hard to push over on spending, why do you think the Washington establishment both Democrat and Republican alike don't like John McCain. It is all about Money!! God Bless John McCain.

If you're going to use analogies like that, then according to you America should be a shit-hole like Vietnam (not Viet Nam you ignorant fuck) since the British didn't stick it through during our Revolutionary War. To compare all those things together is just ridiculous.
Correlation is useful in proving your point, as long as they're not completely irrelevant.

    ---well, whatever.

Leave Iraq unfinished -yet again -give it five to ten before another toxic formation materializes.

-We stuck it out in South Korea. South Korea
is -today -a stunning success. We stuck it out in West Berlin. It too was a marvel and inspiration. And now a revitalized center of
    Germany and Europe.

The Brits stuck it out in Hong Kong -and it thrived. Sinagapore likewise.

American support also brought us Taiwan -the
only functioning democratic government the Chinese have ever known.

Bush Sr. blew it in the early 90's. Bush Jr.
was absurbly ambitious. Surrounded by too many
yuppie geeks. Yet -the intiative -though compromised by mercenary forces at work
    -was nonetheless noble -if naive.

Meanwhile -not having finished our business with
Korean unity -we witness to this day the reality
of a warped regime -much social and cultural destruction and millions of deaths.

Likewise Viet Nam. Had the US prevailed today
Viet Nam would resemble Singapore or Taiwan.
The Cambodian halocaust would never have happened -nor the million deaths in the purge thatfollowed takeover by the Stalinist north.

and will someone please bother to say bring up
the issue before the world -of handling and
respecting a currency that carries the picture
of a man responsible for the deaths of 70 million
    in peacetime ----MAO TSE TUNG.

BTW -YOU CAN DUMP BUCHANAN -HE'S AN OBVIOUS
HIRE OF THE RED CHINA LOBBY. HIS LATEST WWII
TOME -ACTUALLY A SET-UP FOR THE COMING U.S.
    FOLD-DOWN IN NORTH ASIA.

and why is the draft never an issue?

PANDERING TO THE CENTER -WAR OR NO WAR -AMERICA NEEDS A PERMANENT -NO EXCPETIONS CIVIL AND/OR MILITARY DRAFT -----NOW.

Too much couch basting over there in the States.

IF WE PULL OUT -IT WILL GET WORSE. IT VERY WELL
MIGHT NEED FIVE DECADES. LOOK AT KOREA. WE DIDN'T FINISH THE JOB THERE --AND WE HAVE HAD
FIVE DECADES OF POITICAL GENOCIDE AND HORROR.

AND WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE START THROWING A LITTLE
UNFLINCHING CRITICAL LIGHT ON THE RED CHINA

Matt, You need to pull your head out of the sand and read for yourself. John McCain flip flops on every subject depending on the audience. It amazes me how many people just follow and not think for themselves. This country deserves change after 8 years of Bush, John McCain is not the one to bring change. Please read, read, read and stop listening to people.
    • ^
    • v
FYI, part of the interview was edited and they cut 28 seconds from it before the flipflop. I assume you(same guy) are another guy voting from McCain, of course that would explain you don't notice the obvious.

Please take it easy on Juan McCain. People do not realize he was sexually abused while held prisoner in Vietnam. After many rectal reamings, he finally became addicted, and to this day needs a colon fill up twice a week or he gets cranky.
Please do not ask him about it as he is sensitive. McCain cant even use his favorite airport bathroom these days.

Dude, this guy Matt has to be working for McCain. There is no way that someone (human) would still believe that shit.

    • v
Matt I would hate to say it but your an ill-informed idiot. Of all the candidates still in the race John McCain has the most lobbyists not only working for him, but financing his campaign. Look it up at whitehouseforsale.com. Straight talker or not, Obama has the least amount of people to "payback" when he gets into office.
    • ^
    • v
John is the one will do the right thing and will be the least in the pockets of the special interest… that I 100% McCain!! He is a straight talker! War hero! He is a fiscal hawk!! He hates earmarks! He fights the pharmaceutical companies; he stood by Iraq when it was unpopular. He is kind of cranky and no push over. I like that!! Obama is a talker boy. But, no real substance, just blah blah blah. The few things he has said equal a BIGGER government and more deficit spending!!
    • ^
    • v
Actually, McCained has stated very directly that he plans to give a medical card to all Veterans, so they can get healthcare wherever they choose to, and the government will pick up the cost for that. It stands to solve a lot of problems with Democrats wanting to get paid off to do nothing of benefit for any veterans.

Now, this should show that McCained will be favored by veterans this election. It also shows that Dems are in no way capable of having Universal healthcare that is designed to work, and work efficiently.

I have to say that at least McCained committed to something, and the other two are playing along with the media hired to put their corrupt asses in office, so we get stiffed with lame ducks protected by the justice department to be corrupt.

So McCained wins this hands down.

I vote for Nader, so the rest of you can pick the winner(s) that the foreign run media selected for you colonialized, near useless, human beings. Or should I say,"dumb dogs."?

Your country is under a coup, and has been from Clinton's presidency until now.

It is time for me to get back to my Web Site which has been redesignated as Republicans Against Bush/McCain! Can anyone - even Republicans Die-Hards - really believe that McCain is a different product than Bush? We Republicans must unite behind the best of the Democrat Candidates to repair the damage done in these last 7.5 years! At present I am supporting Hilary Clinton!

    Jay boy,
What are you thinking? Oh yea, go ahead and vote for Mcbush. He'll continue giving you more of the same-an economy on a downward spiral on the verge of depression, more wars with more countries like Iran, more corporate bailouts similar to Bear Stearns, fewer jobs, less health care, less homeland security, less goodwill from other countries, less privacy, touture as an American value (I never thought I'd see the day), more fearmongering, more bullshit lies...etc. Sounds lovely.

    • v
If Senator McCain is going to be as good a leader as "W" has been, then we should all be voting for him. Just look at how much better off the country is now than it was seven years ago!

    WAKE UP AMERICA!

    Reply to Patricia Wilson:

I may agee with you. I have to vote for Nader then.
By your standards, then you should not be allowed to vote if your voting for either of the two party mavericks. Mavericks, He he.

    I agree with that.
    Now have another drink.

McCain isn't flip-flopping here. In the first part, he says that it isn't realistic to end the war in Iraq within a few months, since it's taken so many years to get there.

In the second part, he's saying he can ESTIMATE how long it should take within a few months, once they have the support of the Iraqi government. The interviewer asks "...all in how long will you give it to work?" "I think in the case of the Iraqi government cooperating and doing what's necessary, we can know fairly well in a few months."

Just because he said "a few months" both times doesn't mean he flip flopped. He's talking about two separate, but related, timeframes.

In the first, he's saying the war won't end in a few months.

In the second, he's saying we can figure out how long the war's going to take from intel that won't be in for a few months (according to the context of this clip. He may be talking about efficacy of the surge.)

John McCain is a god damned war monger who is as dangerous as Bush/Cheney. He's also just about as intelligent as Bush which ought to scare the shit out of everyone. Go ahead all you repugs-vote your party and drive another nail into the coffin of what used to be a livable country. You dummies are to blame for the ruination of this country. Anyone who believed Bush and all his bullshit and then voted him into office twice should be shot in the public square. Not everyone should be able to vote in this country, namely people who vote their party regardless of the kind of person on the ticket. Voting for John McCain is voting Bush/cheney a third term.

    OK, Jen:

Although you must be ignorant if you can only dwell on the spellling and have no ability to generate substative thought.

Your country is under a coup, and likely has been under one for at least a few years longer than Shrub has been the prez.

You are only electable in this country when you are blackmaleable ;), so guys like Nader do not fit the mold for what the power in the world wants running our less than democratic nation.

Dwell on that for awhile, then you will realize why "Republicrat" is correct in that we have no control over our government. Although, we also have less control over our local governments, because they no longer represent the people and the values that founded these towns and cities, but represent what the mass media(enirely controlled by foriegn interests and power people within our government). The concept of State's Rights keeps the new corrupt media driven governments in place at the small town and city levels, because we are ignorrant and would be jailed if we did not let them know that we were ignorrant enough to only have agendas set by the idiot box(television and NPR).

If you want to realize how we lost this control, all you really need to know is the last 30 years of history. The turning point was the phoney drug wars that scared most people into dumbing down, so as not to be a part of the next bulldozing of your house. The other main event was to shift the entire tax burden to working people so that they were walking a very thin line between poverty, jail, and doing the right thing by their offspring.

Most Americans sold-out at local, state, and federal levels because the media forced them to play along with the dumbest members of our society=law enforcement and district attorneys who are immune to prosecution for coercion and corruption.

Don't bother getting up on your hind legs now(or acting like you are), because the first time they distract you with some silly media drivel, you will be finding your fellow citizens guilty of a crime they did not commit, just so they don't come after you the next time.

Solution: The solution is in the constiution. If you are not afraid of each other, then the government and their henchmen cannot hurt you. So when you sit on a jury, do not find your fellow peasants guilty of anything(I am exagerating), because none of the real criminals in uncle sammy's camp are even being charged for the crimes that they commit that harm enormous numbers of Americans.

Your country is under a coup, and the media is leading the way or has led the way.

Sorry Jen if any words are mispelled beyond your ability to get the substance of the subject matter. Women usually do get bogged down in the BS and cannot see the facts of a matter unless it is required for them to advance their caeers. If you say anything against how your government is run, then you may not receive the affirmative action perks you need to survive without a male. Do't take your mental impetence, and failed understanding of how dirty males play, out on me. I knew this war was fake from day one and don't need government clowns to protect me from ghosts that the media created for ignorant flunkies to be afraid of. Dumbasses in this country cost smart people a lot of their money and rights, which in turn makes it easy for unkle swine to steal our money, which in turn makes it easy to buy the people who lie to us in the media to scare us into having our money and rights taken away, etc. etc. etc.

1.) Everybody does everything with their own self interest in mind. Everything.

    2.) Follow the money trail.

3.) Read the Constitution, so you understand how wise these people were who wrote it.

4.) If you are too stupid and unwise to see the good and understand the wisdom, then turn off the TV, go out into the public the media told you to be afraid of, mix it up with them, then you will eventually know not to ever relinquish any trust to thieves like Shrub and the Clintons. These are not do gooders, dummy.

Some people are a bit slow on the uptake, but you really should not allow yourself to be fooled over and over again by the same lines of repeated BS, when you have not bothered to even recognize that there is a money trail to be followed.

Some of the non-political subjects that I understand are far beyond your ability to understand, and I cannot advance you career, so you need to turn off the TV and think, Jen. Think. Not wait for the one liners you need to appear knowledgable at work. Think. It is so simple to figure out that even a caveman could.

McCain scares me as an American. This is not a flip-flop, but he is as big, if not bigger flip-flopper than Kerry ever was- yet conservatives like him.

It's funny, Republicans ALWAYS do the doublespeak- they coin terms that are the exact opposite of reality. "Straight Talk" is really anything but straight. "Pro-Growth" economic policies are anything but. "Patriot Act" is patriotic because it encourages government surveillance. "No Child Left Behind" where no child gets ahead- when was the last time you took an aptitude test on the job? The list goes on and on.

I find it very humorous that Nader get chided for being an egomaniac when the Dem candidates consist of Clinton and Obama. Pot calling the kettle black?

I also find it funny that conservatives berate this as propaganda, but then just go to their own propaganda sites and call it "fair" news (another example of republican doublespeak). Grow up people- your shit stinks too.

The only answer at this point is to wake up and get involved in your local politics. Federal politics are way out of our control, people. No republican or democrat will save us- we will have to save ourselves.

If it is "Straight talk" that you want, then Ralph nader is your man.

But I do realize that, "You can't handle the truth." that is why you always seek the media first, think second, then defend your less than original thoughts byt repeating what was on TV or in the media the day before.

Americans are ignorrant fucks, just to say the least.

I hate John McCain, but this video was edited in the middle: Between 9 and 10 seconds.
    • ^
    • v
John McCain scares the Democrats! They know he was the only Republican candidate that can and will beat them. Shame on Rush Limbaugh and the Republican establishment for their attacks of such a high integrity man as John McCain. He is the real deal, a fiscal conservative that even out does Barry Goldwater. The politicians in Washington both Democrat and Republican are scared to death of John because they know he will not be a big spender and that all their earmarks and special interest money will be gone!! God Bless John McCain!!
    • ^
    • v
Though Ron Paul is a strict Constitutionalist and a great politician (the only Republican candidate who seems reasonable), I don't think it's right to say ALL politicians don't care about the average person. I think most politicians care about the person who is most like THEM (e.g. McCain's sympathy to the military). Also, Dennis Kucinich is perhaps the most compassionate politician in the country. Being from Illinois, I can also say that Obama is also a truly caring person who wants the best for all Americans. We can make our country great again--we have to lose the cynicism.
    • ^
    • v
While Sen. McCain is the LAST hopeful I'd want elected, to be fair, he didn't exactly flip-flop as implied. Instead, he just didn't answer the question. He said "in a few months, [it won't get all better]." Then he didn't actually answer GS's question. His reply, "...we can KNOW fairly well in a few months." Not a flip flop -- a complete evasion. I won't vote for the war monger, but let's just at least be fair in quoting in this one instance.
    • ^
    • v
Are the Ron Paul supporters the only people left in this country with the balls and brains to oppose what is happening in government?

Every member of government, national and state-wide, swear an oath to uphold the constitution, AS IT IS WRITTEN mind you, and none but Ron Paul do it.

When will the rest of you wake up?

Better question: When will the middle class and poor realize that POLITICIANS DON'T GIVE A F**K ABOUT YOU, THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU LIVE OR DIE, THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU F**KING STARVE TO DEATH.

They placate you and trick and brainwash you to stay true to the system. The RICH mans system.

If after reading this you still don't understand what that means then you are too uneducated to vote. Please make further education your immediate goal.

Oh and please email me if you support John McCain or any of the other BS candidates that say one thing and vote for another. Please say something smart or intelligent that makes sense.

The biggest problem I have with candidates like McCain, and people like our fellow poster Greg, is that there really is no end or victory available to us in this Iraq war. People keep talking about winning the war there, and however long we need to be there we will, because we will not desert our post or abandon our task in bringing democracy to that country. But, the facts are that each time we bomb an area, or occupy a building or displace a family, or accidentally kill a civilian, we CREATE more "terrorists" in the youth that watch death and terror before their eyes, and hear of friends and family getting killed. This is a war that cannot be won by us or anyone, and it's typical arrogance for us to think they want democracy there, or our way of life. In my humble opinion, in this day and age, we should be working towards making our environment healthier, not spraying toxic chemicals and depleted uranium all around the world. I think our country has the potential to be great now, but is sinking fast into a capitalistic, false and greedy society, and it wont be repaired until our citizens make a conscious choice to use less and give more. Without war as a distraction, we may have a chance to do that.
    • ^
    • v
There's no flip flop here. He says it's not going to be all better in a few months. Then he says in a few months we can probably know if the Iraqis are doing what they need to be doing. Those are two completely different things. There are things to be dissatisfied with but this specific post is not valid. It's just a mechanism for bashing.

McCain will win the presidency even if you fill this comment list with hate. If you had read about McCain's ordeal in Vietnam I don't know if you would call him "mush" or a "war criminal". I have no political point to make as it would surely be matched by a personal attack on McCain's character or motives. I came to this site seeking an opposing view with some logical reasons not to vote for the guy. However, my reasons for voting for McCain have only been solidified.
    • ^
    • v
Not even elected and McCain has already declared wars for 100's of years, ala "1984". McCain is a war criminal for bombing civilians in Vietnam, a traitor for violating the UCMJ, Uniform Code of Military Justice and didn't even protect his own family in 2000 when they were insulted and abused by the Bush gang. He's promises to protect the world, I don't think so. What does the world have to say about McCain preemptive declaration FOR ETERNAL WAR? WHY DON'T THESE NEOCON IDEA'S COME WITH A COST ATTACHED TO THEM?
    • ^
    • v
To Gary: I am totally offended by what you said, especially that you would be willing to say something as loathsome as wishing people be raped. You are disgusting and your uninformed opinion counts for nothing.

    In response to Greg:

Al-Qaeda wasn't in Iraq until we got there. To continue with your analogy, if you bust down the door of the wrong neighbor's house, and then the people that robbed you now have an open door through which they can rob your neighbor, then yes, jackass, you kicked down the wrong door.

You say that I would love to see America fail, yet you support an administration that has bankrupted America's economy and gutted average Americans in favor of the wealthy and their corporations. America has already failed, and now we need to start rebuilding with ideas based on compassion and reason instead of hatemongering and fear.

To everyone else on this site:

There are millions and millions of Gregs in this country. Are you going to let them keep control of our government? Just because it's obvious to you that this country needs new leadership doesn't mean that it's obvious to everybody else. Don't be fooled into thinking progressives will have an easy win this November. It's very easy to fire people up with hatespeech like this; it's much harder to get people to calm down and actually *think*. No matter how much you're doing, it's not enough.

I often hear people say that it doesn't matter if or how they vote, because there's not much real difference between the candidates. I don't think that's true any November, but this year, it's an absolutely ludicrous statement. Don't let this kind of apathetic thinking infect our country.

Voter registration drives. Phone calls. Emailing everybody you know in Ohio and Florida. Campaign donations. Donations to sites like MoveOn and BraveNewFilms. Pulling your friends out of bed on November 4th and driving them personally to their polling places. Do something!!

This is the worst produced site on the internet...any moron can see this is just propaganda and doesn't hold any weight when it comes to the true Republican message. Every producer, creator, web host, investor and supporter of this site should be ashamed that they are a part of an internet site that is being watched by everyone around the world who would love to see America fail, including are enemy the radical Muslims (no, sorry..Republicans are not the enemy idiots).
So be proud of yourselves, and I hope you are forced into slavery, your mothers and sisters raped in front of you at your own weddings and someone close to you is beheaded on National TV by your new best friends. You have joined the revolution of change...so reap your rewards. These are your supporters as you are theirs.

Let's see Al Quadia (could care less I spelled that wrong) is in Iraq fighting us but we should run because we attacked the wrong country...really? Then what the hell is the enemy doing there? If I busted down the door of the wrong neighbors house and but found the guys who robbed my house hanging out there...then guess what, I kicked down the right door. Open your eyes morons...get your liberal heads out of your butts and take a look at the world. Radical Muslims are everywhere and I would rather fight them in Iraq then wait for them to destroy more building and take more American lives.

If you want some real ammo... Watch the speech he gave at the 2004 RNC. He wove terrorist & Sadam together to convince ppl Sadam was behind 9/11. And you know, to this day 20% of the ppl think he was.
All we have to do is play it in the order he gave it - minus the fluff and if I had any editing xp I'd do it.

During the 2004 RNC, I kept score of McCain's speech. Here it is:

    9-11 / this war / WMDs / 9-11 / War / War / 9-11 / Afganistan / Saddam = grave threat / terrorists / Saddam / 9-11 / war / 9-11 / a war.

Only war I ever hear about is in Iraq.

Conclusion? He purposefully blended 9-11, the war and Saddam. More brainwashing to make us believe - Saddam is a terrorist that caused 9-11 and terrorists "fight to express a hatred for all that is good in humanity".

    Who wants a 'Brainwasher-in-Chief'?

Funny part is I respected the man before that speech.

@timtimes: you're naive if you think a republican can't win. i sincerely hope it doesn't happen, but don't overestimate the intelligence of the American public.

    What he's saying is:

Regardless of whether the Iraqi government does well or not (even if THEY WANT US OUT), he is going to keep troops in Iraq for decades. It's old school North/South Korea thought.

Kinda moot to even discuss Republican candidates since there's not a snowball's chance in hell that the country will honestly elect another one anytime soon.

With the post election exposure of the totality of Republican 'leadership', expect an empowered Waxman to have a field day. After that, it won't even be socially acceptable to have ever known or been associated with the Republican party.

Former high profile (and newly unemployed) Republican Fox pundits will add to the nations growing unemployment problem.

Salt, from all the crocodile tears shed by former Thugtards (feigning absolution for their complicity) becomes an environmental issue.

The displays of public apology and pleas for forgiveness will dwarf even the memorable Jimmy Swaggert (sorry Rev Haggard, your gay-assed apology for your gayness was only slightly better than Larry Craig)

    Enjoy.

Please restrain yourselves to producing "bullet proof" propaganda that we can really nail McCain with.

This is not a flip flop at all. The website is just trying to make it look as though it is. First, he says that things will not get better in a few months. Then, he says we can find out how long it will take to get better in a few months.

This wasnt a flip flop. He said first that things arent going to get all better in a few months. Then he said we will know about the cooperation of the Iraqi government in a few months.

you're comparing apples and oranges - political hack job

This site may have an agenda, but pointing out these pretty obvious flip-flopping is a *service* to anybody who would carefully listen. Certainly the mainstream media would not point out these incoherencies, besides Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. Yeah, a comedy show... isn't it ironic?

    Wake up people!

McCain clearly suffers from from numerous POW syndromes. He will say ANYTHING to appeal to ANYONE at ANYTIME. McCain is complete mush, without a single shred of backbone.

Dustin G. summed up this video fairly well...it was clearly designed with the intent of making evident a flip-flop that may have, under a more complete scrutinization, not existed at all.

This site is exactly like every other pro- or anti-candidate site; it's propaganda, made to coerce people into sharing the standpoints and views of the producers. The fact that the guy that runs this site basically advertises the fact that he's a professional propaganda artist doesn't really help the credibility of this site much, either.

John McCain's black love-child edited this clip.

I agree that this cut was edited to the point where it is impossible to say, timing wise, how the pieces it has been cut into fit into McCains argument. I am not a McCain supporter. He is about the same quality of a speaker as Bush. Nevertheless I think one cannot tell by watching this film whether it treats McCain's statement fairly or not.

Go ahead, post all the videos of Kerry you want to.

Neither Kerry or McCain will ever be president.

Based upon the incomplete information that this website makes available to its visitors, it is possible that McCain's argument is consistent. The clip show McCain to claim that the outcome of "the surge" will be determined mainly by a composite of U.S. military counterinsurgency operations and Iraqi government operations, and that that outcome isn't knowable within a timeframe of only a few months. In the clip, McCain says that there are certain necessary conditions for success of "the surge" that must be satisfied by the Iraqi government the within the next few months in order for the "the surge" to succeed. If McCain says that certain military and government operations are the necessary and sufficient conditions for success in Iraq, and if he says that the necessary military operations will take more than a few months to complete, and if says that the Iraqi government operations will take a few months to complete, then he is correct in concluding that the outcome of "the surge" isn't knoweable until the counterinsurgency operations are complete, that is, until after more than a few months have passed since the start of "the surge," since those operations are the necessary conditions for success that will, within McCain's argument, take the longest amount of time to be satisfied. McCain could very well be saying that we could know that "the surge" has failed in only a few months, but that it would take more than a few months for us to know whether it has succeeded, assuming that the Iraqi government achieves certain goals in the next few months. Unfortunately, the 17 seconds of footage made available in the clip seem to contain only a fragment of McCain's complete argument. How can we judge his reasoning ability and personal integrity upon the basis of fragmentary evidence? It is obvious from the foregoing that this website is a tissue of vile propaganda. Neither the fact that McCain is himself a degenerate nor the fact that McCain's argument is unsound justify that morally repugnant act of propagandistic behavior.

I don't care if it was just edited for effect. Edited is edited and it cuts the credibility. For all I know, it was a different show and he is wearing the same outfit.

Yeah, John Kerry flip-flopped...but he's not running for president again. Besides John Kerry doesn't compare to this type of flip-flopping Godliness. John Kerry also has something that McCain doesn't, common sense.

Give me a break. John Kerry is the king of flip flop. Why no videos of him? Oh, that's right, this is a liberal forum. My bad.

It was edited, but probably just to cut to the flip flop. I don't think it's to deceive anyone - the title says "47 Second Flip Flop" and the video itself is 19 seconds. They cut out 28 seconds to enhance the point.
